Full-time HR opening in the heart of Kaimuki! As the Human Resources Coordinator for a reputable local business, you will provide support to the staff in the areas of hiring, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and a variety of other HR-related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of employee hiring including collaborating with department managers to understand skills and competencies required, advertising, recruitment, prescreening, background checking, and employment eligibility requirements.
  • Implement new hire orientation, employee recognition programs, development, and training.
  • Oversee the scheduling and daily workflow of the administrative assistant and the front desk.
  • Handle employment-related inquires from applicants, employees, and supervisors. Advise company leaders and managers on HR issues.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Review policy development and documentation to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Maintain personnel files and follow retention guidelines for terminated personnel records.
  • Oversees employee relationship management through the company?s open-door policy and transparency in communication.
  • Oversee benefits administration.
  • Assist with processing of bi-weekly payroll.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in human resources, business management/administration, or related field required.
  • At least 2 years of human resources coordinator or generalist experience.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification helpful.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office or related software.
  • Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
