Job Description

A local company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of HR operations, employee relations, and organizational development. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, while ensuring HR practices are compliant, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals. The HR Manager will work closely with staff and leadership to enhance recruitment, retention, performance management, and overall employee engagement, contributing to a supportive and mission-driven workplace.

Hours

Part-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Location

Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$60,000 to $65,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Partner with leadership to assess staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and manage talent acquisition.
  • Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees regarding HR policies, performance management, and workplace concerns.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with applicable labor laws.
  • Support training, professional development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including health, safety, and workplace standards.
  • Lead and participate in special HR projects and organizational initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Must have progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with employees at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic, community-focused environment.
