Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Clerk to support a construction-focused, special project. This is a temporary, full-time role (approximately 6–8 weeks) requiring hands-on inventory counting and ERP data entry in a job-cost and material-driven environment. The ideal candidate has strong construction inventory experience, understands material flow between warehouses and job sites, and is highly accurate in fast-paced field operations. Duration: This is a temporary role that will remain active until the physical inventory count project is completed (approximately 6–8 weeks). Schedule: Full-time. Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours per week). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inventory counts, including identifying items, recording quantities, tagging materials, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Load, unload, and move materials throughout the yard or job site.
  • Assist with re-palletizing, staging, and organizing materials.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting (50+ lbs), carrying, bending, and working outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Help maintain an orderly yard layout by stacking, sorting, and labeling materials.
  • Support skilled trades by holding materials, prepping work areas, and transporting tools.
  • Perform site cleanup, including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining clear walkways.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE use and hazard awareness.
  • Communicate with supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Must follow all site safety rules and wear required PPE.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Preferred: Prior construction or yard experience.
  • Preferred: Experience in the construction industry (commercial, residential, civil, or specialty trades).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (CRE).
  • Preferred: Knowledge of job cost accounting and material cost tracking.
  • Preferred: Experience working with multi-site inventories and field operations.
