Leave of Absence Administrative Assistant (222014-60)
The Leave of Absence Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the Leave of Absence (LOA) team. This role serves as the central intake and coordination point for leave-related communications, service requests, and documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment while handling sensitive employee information.
Hours
Full-time, Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm or 8:00am-5:00pm
Location
Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$23 to $25 an hour, DOE
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the Leave of Absence inbox and incoming correspondence.
- Review, log, label, and route leave-related documentation accurately.
- Create and manage Service Requests and task assignments for LOA activities.
- Assign leave packets and requests to Intake, Specialists, and processing teams.
- Support Leave of Absence processing, including intakes and packet distribution.
- Assist with Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI) tasks and employee follow-ups.
- Track documentation for leave extensions and status updates.
- Support audit and compliance activities related to LOA status changes.
- Assist with incoming calls and provide general administrative team support.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately.
- Experience managing task queues, service requests, or document workflows.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Leave of Absence or benefits administration experience preferred.
