Job Description

Seeking a Mental Health Technician for per diem shifts at a Behavioral Health Organization in Honolulu. The Mental Health Technician is responsible for carrying out rehabilitation and support functions including performing mental health and risk assessments, providing therapy services in both individual and group format, and consulting with community agencies and families throughout the treatment process.

Pay

$15 an hour

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with treatment team to in develop, implement, and evaluate overall treatment plan.
• Participate in comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history, mental status, and diagnosis.
• Act as a liaison and consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process.
• Document progress towards treatment goals and maintain a permanent record of daily activities according to established methods and procedures.
• Participate in scheduled staff meetings and treatment plan review meetings.
• Facilitate various psychosocial rehabilitation programming/treatment groups.
• Provide ongoing assessment and response to treatment.
• Perform job coaching, problem solving, and support on and off the job site.
• Aid with nutritional education/food preparation, housing placement, money management skills, and transportation options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification a plus but not required.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
• TB clearance.
