Job Description

A nonprofit organization is seeking a compassionate and organized Nonprofit Receptionist to join their team. As the first point of contact, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for visitors, clients, and staff. Your friendly demeanor and efficient administrative skills will contribute to smooth daily operation.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$18 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct visitors, clients, and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff members.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Provide basic information about the organization's programs and services.
  • Support other departments with various administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with office equipment (e.g., printers, copiers, fax machines).
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is a plus.
  • Knowledge of or interest in non-profit organizations and social causes.
