Job Description

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of guest-facing services at our nonprofit center. This role ensures that all visitors, clients, and community members experience a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment that's aligned with the organization?s mission. Duties include supervise guest services staff and volunteers, coordinate building operations, and support programming and event logistics.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-2:30pm

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$24 to $27 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day guest services team, ensuring a warm, helpful, and mission-aligned visitor experience.
  • Maintain front desk operations, including greeting guests, handling inquiries, managing guest registration and check-ins.
  • Monitor and respond to visitor feedback, identifying areas for service improvement.
  • Oversee facility readiness including cleanliness, safety, signage, and room setup.
  • Coordinate building access, security protocols, and emergency response procedures.
  • Serve as the liaison between guest services and maintenance or custodial staff.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise guest services team members and front desk volunteers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement ongoing training for service excellence and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate logistics for on-site events, workshops, and partner programs.
  • Ensure guest service team is prepared to support events (i.e., setup, registration, wayfinding, technical support).
  • Collaborate with program staff and partners to meet event space needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in education, early childhood development or related field required.
  • Master?s degree preferred.
  • Proven success as an inspiring and effective leader.
  • Minimum of three years' experience supervising a diverse customer service team.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills, conflict-resolution skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Be extremely detail oriented.
  • Team player who is comfortable working with children and their families, volunteers and staff.
  • Ability to accept and adapt to change with ease.
  • Ability to think and act quickly and logically.
