Job Description

A local company is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Support Associate to provide essential administrative and underwriting support within a professional office environment. This position plays a key role in processing submissions, renewals, and policy changes, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service. Candidates with experience in property and casualty insurance are highly encouraged to apply.

Hours

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with 1/2 hour lunch

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$20 to $21 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Process and update submissions, renewals, and policy changes accurately and efficiently.
  • Follow established procedures, user guides, and documentation standards to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, documentation, and workflow coordination across departments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and external partners.
  • Train and mentor team members to ensure consistency in processes and best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–4 years of general office experience (depending on level).
  • Experience in property and casualty insurance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to type 40–45 WPM and perform basic math calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a positive team environment.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with data entry or policy processing in the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire or similar systems.
