Job Description

A well-established transportation and logistics organization is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily shipping operations and customer service activities. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, preparing transportation documentation, maintaining communication with customers and vendors, and ensuring shipments are processed accurately and on schedule.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location

Airport Area, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$20 to $22 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transportation and relocation services from initial scheduling through final delivery
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping, transportation, and billing documentation
  • Communicate with customers, carriers, service providers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and scheduling
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure documentation meets applicable requirements
  • Monitor shipment timelines and proactively follow up on key milestones and delivery schedules
  • Partner with operations staff to coordinate transportation services and resolve logistical issues
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide status updates throughout the shipping process
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files to support operational efficiency
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members as needed
  • Provide support to other departments and perform additional administrative or operational duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight, supply chain, customer service, or a related field preferred
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Experience with transportation, shipping, or logistics software is a plus
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Offer contingent upon successfully clearing pre-employment background screening and drug testing
