Job Description

A non-profit organization is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Part-Time Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join their team for a temporary assignment of 4-6 weeks. This position offers flexible hours between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM, with a work week ranging from 20 to 30 hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent organizational skills.

This position offers reimbursed parking.

Hours

Part-time, 20-30 Hours within Monday-Friday between 8AM-3:30pm

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$21 to $22 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions.
  • Verify and code invoices for payment.
  • Enter data into the accounting system (MIP).
  • Reconcile vendor statements and handle payment discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments as needed.
  • Support other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in accounts payable or related field (candidates with slightly less experience may be considered).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with MIP (Non-Profit Accounting System) is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to start immediately upon successful completion of the interview process.
