Payroll Administrative Assistant (ALTRES In-House) (200779)

Join the ALTRES team as a Payroll Administrative Assistant! Our high volume payroll department is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented individual to assist with duties related to investigating and resolving payroll inquiries, questions and issues. This candidate should be able to carry out all payroll procedures with speed and accuracy to ensure that payroll processors are equipped to meet their deadlines.

This is a full-time opening at our Honolulu headquarters, centrally-located near the Kaka'ako neighborhood.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide assistance to callers with payroll pickup.
  • Create SR's as needed.
  • Carry out various filing duties, including maintenance of client audit report files and file retrieval from storage.
  • Sort and distribute department mail.
  • Check dept. group voice mails and return calls or forward voicemails to appropriate depts.
  • Enter new hires via Quick Hire/manual EDP's
  • Review manual EDP's to ensure accuracy
  • Follow up on ESR's submitted manually or via HR Symphony.
  • Daily runs to the post office, bank, and interoffice mail runs.
  • Assist with data entry tasks, including inputting and updating notes, new hire information, and tax data.
  • Research and resolve any payroll issues that arise.
  • Research and update employees information such as address, email and phone number.
  • Assist with payroll packaging, ensure packaging is accurate per delivery instructions
  • Process USPS, FedEx, and all other types of delivery methods.
  • Ensure that the payroll department is fully stocked with supplies and reorder as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED); or 1-3 years of related work experience/training.
  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize in order to meet deadlines.
  • Strong sense of professionalism with the ability to deliver high-level customer service.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work well independently and in a team setting.
