Job Description

A local consulting and administration firm is looking for a detail-oriented Pension Administrator to join their team. The main responsibilities of this role include the daily administration of pension schemes, managing daily valuation investments, and advising clients about available plans.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in pension administration, good work ethic, and have a positive attitude and be flexible.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Responsibilities

  • Service clients in all aspects including, but not limited to answering client phone calls, researching and answering client questions, consulting with clients on plan design matters.
  • Scrub census payroll data for accuracy.
  • Reconcile Trust Assets.
  • Run and review compliance testing including HCE and Key Employee determination, Top Heaving, ADP, ACP, 402(g), 401(a)(4), 410(b), 414(s) and 415.
  • Prepare Form 5500 series and all other required fillings.
  • Review plan distributions.
  • Draft and review plan amendments.
  • Assist with any place transactional issues that arise, including lost earnings calculations, VFCP, EPCRS, etc.

Qualifications

  • Must have previous accounting and/or retirement plan experience, OR a degree in accounting or math.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Ability to prioritize work, effectively time-manage, and pay attention to detail.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required by company for this position. This is not an ALTRES Staffing requirement.
