Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer specializing in site construction to oversee and coordinate all phases of site development projects. This role involves managing site construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, monitoring budgets and cash flow, and ensuring timely completion of projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in sitework construction, surveying, grading, excavation, site utilities, paving and concrete work.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$80,000 to $110,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate, and monitor site construction to ensure adherence to project requirements and schedules.
• Plan future developments, identifying economical and cost-effective construction methods.
• Prepare project budgets, review and analyze change orders, and approve monthly progress billings.
• Conduct project cash flow analyses.
• Ensure contractors work with the most current project plans and specifications.
• Monitor compliance with NPDES and BMP measures, ensuring alignment with updated plans and requirements.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plans and construction schedules, including residential construction timelines.
• Schedule and participate in weekly progress meetings with contractors.
• Manage documentation and processes necessary to close grading and stockpiling permits.
• Coordinate inspections and turnovers, including landscape turnovers to community and homeowners' associations.
• Oversee landscape maintenance programs.
• Track and manage project punch lists to completion.
• Interpret and understand construction plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor?s degree and/or a minimum of five years? experience in sitework construction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
