Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team to lead HVAC and plumbing projects. In this role, you will coordinate projects with clients and contractors, manage resources, oversee all projects, and ensure projects stay within budget.

The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree in engineering and a PE license. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply as well.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours

Location

Kalihi, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$60,000 to $85,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Manage project execution from start to finish, ensuring scope and quality control.
• Create and present estimates and final bids to general contractors/owners.
• Oversee negotiation, clarify project details, and address changes.
• Plan, schedule, and track project milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Procure and coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Prepare change orders and ensure project documentation and closing reports are completed.
• Ensure cost control, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend project improvements.
• Maintain ongoing communication with all stakeholders and provide project updates.
• Mentor and support team development, building professional relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably mechanical.
• Professional engineer license preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience and 8 years in project management. 
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Timberline, and Quickpen.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• COVID-19 vaccination required by client for this position. This is not an ALTRES Staffing requirement.
