Job Description

A local company is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with safety regulations and minimizing workplace hazards.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday 7am-5pm

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$130,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective safety programs and policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, recommending corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and maintain related documentation.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
• Stay current with industry safety trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• 4 years of professional experience in safety management or minimum of 5 years of comparable experience in safety management.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), or other relevant certifications are preferred.
• Associates and/or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
