We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduling Assistant to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring optimal staffing coverage and operational efficiency within our long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Full-time, Full-time, 8:00am-4:30pm

Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$20 to $22 an hour
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain staff schedules for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff.
- Ensure all shifts are fully covered, including weekends and holidays.
- Coordinate coverage for sick calls, vacations, leave, and call-offs.
- Monitor overtime hours to stay within budget.
- Maintain accurate staffing records for audits and compliance.
- Identify patterns in absences and gaps in schedules.
- Assist with tracking staff certifications, licenses, and mandatory training.
- Ensure staffing meets federal, state, and facility requirements and regulations.
- Communicate schedule updates to staff and management.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and leadership for scheduling issues.
- Assist with timekeeping, reports, and onboarding related to shifts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work diligently in a face-paced environment.
- Basic math skills.
- 1-2 years of administrative experience preferred.
- Experience working in clinical environments or long-term care facilities, preferred.
- Offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of 2-Step TB Test and COVID-19 vaccination. This is a direct requirement set by the client.
