Job Description

Detail-oriented financial professional responsible for managing full-cycle accounting, payroll, reporting, budgeting, and tax coordination for a multi-entity organization. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently, and a high level of discretion. The position oversees daily financial operations, prepares management and financial reports, supports year-end and tax preparation, administers retirement and benefit plans, and serves as a trusted resource to leadership for financial planning and decision-making.

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Pay

$65,000 to $70,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting and daily financial operations for multiple entities.
  • Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and related tax filings.
  • Maintain cash reports, cash flow projections, and budget tracking.
  • Process and manage accounts payable; oversee basic accounts receivable and billing functions.
  • Prepare internal and external financial reports for management and leadership.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) on accrual and tax bases.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and tax professionals; prepare schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage retirement and benefit plans, including contributions, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records across accounting systems and software platforms.
  • Track and report key performance metrics and operational data to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, and reporting requirements at federal and state levels.
  • Handle sensitive financial and personnel information with discretion and integrity.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy across financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in accounting and financial operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and billing software.
  • Experience with QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP preferred).
  • Knowledge of pension and 401(k) plan administration.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and dependability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage confidential information.
