Join a dynamic finance team as a Senior Billing Support Specialist responsible for maintaining accurate accounts receivable records, researching billing discrepancies, and providing excellent customer support. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely collections, accurate financial reporting, and smooth billing operations.

Hours

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with 1/2 hour lunch

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$20 an hour

Responsibilities

• Manage direct bill receivables and communicate with clients and partners to resolve open balances.
• Research and respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, policy issues, and account variances.
• Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations as needed.
• Assist with SOX compliance activities and other internal audits.
• Analyze accounting data and support continuous process improvement within the billing department.
• Collaborate with team members and management to meet operational deadlines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of general office experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
• Excellent customer service skills, including professional phone etiquette and problem resolution.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Solid critical thinking and analytical abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience in accounts receivable, collections, or billing operations.
• Prior work experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with Guidewire Billing Center or similar systems.
