A community-based nonprofit organization is seeking a Temporary Senior Program Manager to provide leadership and supervision across multiple direct-service programs. This role ensures operational stability, staff development, and high-quality client services during an organizational transition. This is a temporary position that will last 3 months with the possibility to extend based on business need.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in social service program management, including experience leading teams, coordinating inter-agency efforts, and maintaining compliance with service standards. Pay

$85,000 to $100,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise program managers and teams to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.
  • Maintain operational continuity and promote collaboration across departments.
  • Oversee staffing, onboarding, and performance management within assigned programs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, funder requirements, and best practices.
  • Support data collection, reporting, and evaluation for program improvement.
  • Promote staff engagement through regular meetings, communication, and team-building.
  • Represent the organization in community and partner meetings to strengthen collaborations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, training initiatives, and process improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in nonprofit, social services, or community-based programs.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and advocacy practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in program development, inter-agency coordination, and staff training.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and performance management.
