Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage day-to-day operations on assigned projects. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards.

Hours

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Pay

$80,000 to $90,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule foremen, consultants, and vendors to maintain project timelines and critical path milestones.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure all work meets project specifications and company standards.
  • Supervise foremen to ensure compliance with scope of work and timely correction of deficiencies.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Enforce safety, health, and environmental standards; issue notices of non-compliance when necessary.
  • Identify and communicate construction conflicts to the project team for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of job site activities.
  • Manage multiple job sites simultaneously.
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings with foremen and participate in project hand-off meetings.
  • Ensure job sites remain clean, safe, and organized at all times.
  • Develop and complete punch lists for project progress and completion.
  • Review project specifications to determine procedures, schedules, and staffing requirements.
  • Hire, supervise, and motivate foremen and field personnel.
  • Interpret plans, specifications, and company policies; enforce safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project turnover procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets, job cost coding, and equipment usage.
  • Lead weekly look-ahead planning for labor, materials, and equipment needs.
  • Monitor daily manpower productivity and ensure alignment with project production goals.
