We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized temporary Supply Chain Clerk to support our client's purchasing, inventory, and logistics team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate data and records, coordinating shipments and deliveries, monitoring purchase orders, and assisting with invoice and order discrepancies. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with vendors, warehouse teams, freight providers, and internal departments, and can effectively manage multiple requests while maintaining accuracy and timely follow-up.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$20 to $23 an hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain master data records, material information, and vendor catalogs in company data management systems, including SAP.
  • Coordinate with internal requestors, warehouse personnel, vendors, and freight transportation companies to arrange the transportation, shipping, and delivery of goods, materials, supplies, vehicles, equipment, and other items.
  • Respond to email, fax, and telephone inquiries regarding order status and other department-related requests.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding purchase order and delivery status and expedite urgent requests when necessary.
  • Update purchase order acknowledgements, pricing, delivery information, and other relevant data.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable, vendors, and internal requestors to research and resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies, including issues involving price, quantity, unit of measure, terms and conditions, surcharges, descriptions, and other details.
  • Prepare and enter requisitions, receiving reports, Service Entry Sheets, and other purchasing or receiving documentation as required.
  • Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties, including reviewing, reconciling, tracking, monitoring, processing, and data entry.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and other communications as needed.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and maintain and update files, records, and company bulletin boards.
  • Provide backup coverage and occasionally substitute for or relieve other clerical staff.
  • Perform duties associated with lower-classified clerical positions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with SAP, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, inventory, or accounts payable processes preferred.
  • 1 year of previous experience in an office setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work professionally with vendors, internal departments, warehouse personnel, freight providers, and Accounts Payable.
  • Comfortable working with data, records, and computerized systems.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, research issues, and follow through to resolution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar business applications is preferred.
  • Ability to comply with pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
