A local Kama'aina company is seeking a Workers Compensation Specialist! In this role, you will be responsible for managing and administering the workers compensation and temporary disability insurance (TDI) programs. This role will involve handling claims, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations, and providing support to employees throughout the claims process.

Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay

$21 to $23 an hour

Responsibilities

• Process and manage workers compensation claims from initial report to resolution.
• Review TDI claims for compensability, ensuring that claims meet the necessary criteria and are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all State and Federal workers compensation laws and regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to employees regarding workers compensation benefits and procedures.
• Act as a liaison between employees, healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and legal representatives.
• Maintain detailed records of all claims and related documentation.
• Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and insurance carriers.
• Conduct training sessions for employees and management on workers compensation policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage workers compensation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous workers compensation experience.
• Previous Salesforce experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
