Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000 (Salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, and education of selected candidate.)

Summary

New Venture Research Corporation (NVRC) is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions supporting critical defense programs.

We are searching for a diligent Site Engineer with a versatile skillset to perform a variety of system tasks and coordination. This role will oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of site infrastructure systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and monitoring systems. Attention-to-detail will be key to successfully creating standard operation procedures (SOPs), adhering to routine maintenance schedules, and providing urgent support to remedy infrastructure alarms. The Site Engineer will also manage and coordinate contractors for routine maintenance and service of systems.


Key Responsibilities

System Operations & Maintenance

  • Oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of site infrastructure systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and monitoring systems
  • Monitor systems’ health, availability, and performance, taking proactive and corrective action as required
  • Maintain & create supporting documentation in form of Standard Operational Procedures, checklists, maintenance sheets, and more
  • Coordinate & ensure 24/7 response to infrastructure alarms
  • Identify key risks and propose solutions to strengthen existing systems

Contractor Coordination & Contract Management

  • Oversee direct maintenance contracts to maintain existing systems
  • Ensure all maintenance contracts are maintained and performed at regular intervals
  • Coordinate with onsite security personnel to ensure proper escorting of onsite maintenance contractors

Visual Development & Customer Relations

  • Produce and maintain up-to-date site infrastructure diagrams and specification sheets detailing existing site infrastructural capabilities and load
  • Proactively develop detailed informational plans with multiple courses of action (COA) for infrastructure upgrades and replacements
  • Develop After Action Reports (AARs) for customer review in the event of an emergency or incident

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in STEM fields, with a heavy emphasis on technological and electrical systems.
  • Prior experience working in a small team environment.
  • Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills, able to interface effectively with civilian AND military clients.
  • Ability to manage complex environments and ask for assistance when needed.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new/changing environments and requirements.

Required Education and Length of Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1+ years working in a STEM environment with a variety of systems

Travel Requirements

Travel up to 10% may be required.


U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our contracts with the U.S. federal government and the requirement for a security clearance for this role, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens.


Clearance Type Required

Candidates must be able to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) security clearance. After the proper clearance level is obtained; the employee must be able to maintain the clearance at the appropriate level for the duration of employment. Candidates with an existing clearance are highly preferred.
