Amazing opportunity to work for a construction contractor that takes on large projects! We are looking for a full-time HR & Payroll Assistant for an immediate opening. This role will be primarily responsible for handling payroll processing, overseeing hiring and onboarding, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. 


Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of human resource and payroll experience and great organizational skills with an excellent eye for detail. Contact us today!


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Review invoices for accuracy and verify appropriate documentation and approval before processing payments
  • Ensure timely payroll and payment of taxes, insurance, 401K, withholdings, Union payments, and other payroll and HR related payables
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and correct any discrepancies
  • Oversee hiring processes including screening, interviewing, onboarding, training, and resignations
  • Maintain accurate HR and payroll records and documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Education and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in business, human resource management, accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll and HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good knowledge of general accounting and HR principles and practices
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office as well as accounting and HR software
  • Excellent eye for detail and problem-solving skills
