Laborer - Heavy Civil

Pay Range:

• $19 - $30 per hour Depending on Experience

Essential Duties & Experience: 

• Assemble, connect, and construct pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains
• Dig trenches, back fill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications using shovels, picks, rakes, compactors, back fill holes
• Operate construction tools and equipment such as power tools, rollers, and skid loaders
• Flagging traffic near, around, and in work zones
• Assist with excavation, underground utilities, concrete work, and general site preparation duties
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work at various locations island wide
• Follow directions well and perform tasks accurately with attention to detail
• Communicates well verbally to convey information effectively
• Skilled in using hand tools and operating mechanical equipment
• Must be able to climb on, off, and under various pieces of equipment, and physically access all parts of equipment
• Able to physically lift and carry up to 100 lbs
• Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk
