JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Cooling Hawaii LLC (wholly owned subsidiary of Castaway Construction & Restoration LLC) - HVAC Sales/Estimator

 

Principal Responsibilities

• Proactively finds new work to bid by speaking with potential clients at The Home Depot Kahului or other locations and performing sales calls.

• Provides outstanding customer service and responds to customer issues or complaints maintaining highest standards of professionalism.

• Communicates customers’ needs to office and Installation teams effectively.• Interacts with customers via phone, e-mail, text, or in person to ensure quality meets established standards, techniques and quality & safety requirements; makes recommendations per technicians’ expertise as requirements to improve quality and productivity.

• Maintain a professional rapport with clients, architects, engineers, building owners, installers and suppliers.

• Attend necessary job trainings or meetings.
• Supports HVAC technicians/installers administratively or logistically to meet project demands and customers’ expectations.

• Assist management with planning and coordinating aspects of the HVAC service or install process, including working with Subcontractors, owners, engineers, architects, and vendors.

• Proactively maintain a safe and positive work environment.

• Assist management and project coordinators with procurement of necessary equipment and materials. Ensures materials and equipment are ordered in advance and are onsite for JIT (Just-in-Time) delivery and installation. Works with Inventory Manager to track and order materials and equipment.

• Sets an example in keeping the job site organized and clean

• Input necessary project data into HD Connect, Viewpoint, and Service Titan software efficiently and accurately.

• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

• Must be able to pass background check and work in The Home Depot Kahului

• Excellent verbal communications skills, especially when addressing customers, clients or official visitors, as well as communicating to employees and management.

• Able to read and interpret product specifications and owner manuals

• Ability to write reports and professional correspondence to vendors, government officials, and clients.

• Able to comprehend technical documents, such as safety regulations, assembly and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to suggest solutions for deficiencies or problems.

• Experience with managing demanding clients and offering creative solutions to meet commitments and requests.

• Excellent time management.

• Professional presentation; is confident, assertive, and displays a high level of self-esteem.

• Able to execute marketing/sales strategies set forth by Company.

• Good communication skills; is able to effectively communicate to all levels of management, both internally and externally; gives full attention to others; asks questions when appropriate to fully understand points being made, and lets others fully state their ideas.

• Grasps concepts quickly and has good follow through skills; adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma and equivalent work experience

• Must have Driver’s License and good driving record

• Minimum of 3 years of sales or customer service experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Experience with using Service Titan software a PLUS.
