Job Description

Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites to complete building and construction-related

jobs.

 

 

Job Title: Skilled Laborers

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Department: Castaway Construction & Restoration, LLC - Field

Reports To: Superintendents and Project Management

 

Primary Function

Perform different types of laborious work to complete building and construction-related jobs; does related work as required.

 

Preferred Experience

•1-3 Years of Construction or Handyman Experience.

•Completed apprenticeships recommended.

•OSHA 10 certification

 

Principal Responsibilities

•Cleaning and preparing construction sites.

•Loading and unloading materials and equipment.

•Assisting skilled tradesmen with various duties, including demo, carpentry, electrical, appliance & finishinstallations, cleaning, etc.

•Operating equipment, like drills, pneumatic hammers, shovels, pikes, and basic power tools.

•Obeying health and safety codes, as well as company’s principles.

•Removing hazardous materials from sites.

•Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.

•Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.

•Attending meetings and workshops.

•Completing on-the-job training.

•Ensuring tasks are completed to deadlines.

•Adhere to and execute established project procedures and performance standards within boundaries ofcorporate policy.

•Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

•Perform other job-related duties, as required.

Ability to enter work hours on HR Symphony desktop software or mobile app.

Ability to read and respond to e-mails and text messages.

 

Certification and Licensing

Driver's license and a good driving record.

Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Must be able to pass background check and work on Federal and State projects.
