Job Position:  Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter - Construction

 

Job Description:  Alpha Inc. is seeking for an individual that is passionate about construction and people, to join our talented team.  This position plays a crucial role in the future growth of our company and would be responsible for sourcing and hiring full time employees.

 

About Alpha Inc.:  We are a successful family-owned Heavy Civil Construction Company established in 2008.  Alpha Inc. provides a wide range of heavy civil services on Maui and across neighboring islands.  Our project scopes include Mass Excavation, Water Well Drilling, Underground Utilities, Concrete and Renewable Energy.

Qualifications to be a Recruiter:

• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.

• Build a strong employer brand to attract the right candidate.

• Knowledgeable with LinkedIn, Indeed and other recruiting platforms.

• Utilize the applicant tracking system for reviewing and hiring candidates.

• Proactively build applicant pipelines to meet current and future business needs.

• Maintain relationships with past candidates for future opportunities.

• Strategically source potential hires from diverse backgrounds.

• Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.

• Develop and roll out various programs like a referral policy to encourage employees to bring in quality talent.

• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

 

 About You: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Minimum of 3 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process preferred.

• Must be innovative in recruitment practices and exceptionally organized.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.

• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.

• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
