We're on the lookout for a skilled Automotive Technician to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing safety checks, diagnosing problems, and resolving vehicle issues. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an auto repair shop and a valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm

Location

Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$30 to $35 an hour, Based on Experience

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and confirm customer complaints using all resources available, including communicating with other technicians.
• Test drive vehicles whenever possible before starting checkout.
• Perform a full safety check and thoroughly inspect the vehicle.
• Log all diagnostic notes into the Repair Order via Shop-Ware.
• Discuss parts and labor requirements with the Service Advisor/Manager.
• Repair vehicles and ensure customer complaints are resolved.
• Maintain a clean and organized work stall.
• Inform the Service Advisor/Manager when supplies are running low.
• Stock all received parts.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in an auto repair shop.
• ASE Certification is a plus but not required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving abstract.
• Knowledge of how OBD2 scanners function.
• Basic computer skills and ability to type.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
