A high-end resort in Kailua-Kona is looking for experienced cooks to join their dynamic culinary team! In this role, you will prepare dishes to the highest of standards, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests.

Our client is accepting various skill levels and is willing to train as needed.

Hours

Full-time, Various days, Monday to Sunday, Day shift: 6am-2pm, Evening Shift: 2pm-10pm

Location

Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$23 to $26 an hour, Based on Experience

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare and check quality of ingredients.
• Cook food in various ways and ensure proper cooking methods.
• Ensure great presentation of dishes before they are served.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Monitor stock and place orders as needed.
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook.
• Previous experience using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• TB clearance required.
