Lot Technician/Rental Associate (AMTCHS)
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Lot Technician to serve as the backbone of our client's rental yard operations. This position is a perfect mix of hands-on physical labor and mobile technology. You will be responsible for the physical condition and staging of heavy equipment while using digital tools to ensure the inventory data stays accurate.

Hours
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm
Location
Kailua-Kona, Big Island
Pay
$20 to $30 an hour
Responsibilities
- Ability to use mobile devices, such as iPads or smartphones, to manage the inventory in the field, including taking photos for arrival reports, logging hour-meter readings, and uploading equipment data directly into the inventory software.
- Handle the physical preparation of the fleet, which involves washing, greasing, and fueling machines to ensure they are clean, safe, and ready for immediate delivery.
- Manage the flow of the yard by checking machines in and out upon their return, moving equipment to designated staging areas, and preparing units for transport between the outer-island branch locations.
- Maintain the professional appearance of the facility by keeping the equipment yard, loading docks, and storefront displays clean and organized. This includes tasks such as organizing buckets and attachments, clearing weeds, and responsibly disposing of scrap materials.
- Work in close coordination with the rental coordinators and service team, providing them with real-time updates on equipment status and reporting any maintenance needs or damages discovered during the check-in process.
- Ensure that all equipment, vehicles, and attachments are properly secured and organized at the end of every business day to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract, as you will be required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
- Comfortable performing physical work outdoors in various conditions, including moving equipment, cleaning, and yard maintenance.
- 1-2 years of experience and understanding of automotive and equipment repair/maintenance.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Efficiency in utilizing an iPad or smartphone to input data, take photos, and navigate simple software apps.
