Communications & Marketing Manager

DEPARTMENT: Administration                                 JOB TITLE:  Communications & Graphic Artist Manager

REPORTS TO: General Manager

JOB TYPE: Exempt

BASIC FUNCTION: Having cross-functional responsibilities, must be able to support internal and external communication with department managers and members. Must be able to cover areas such as website content, newsletters, social media, and other various duties, flyer creation on Adobe Suite. The ability to take knowledge and transform it into exciting and useful messages and disseminate it to the right audience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing a cohesive communications strategy for the Club
  • Has a creative direction with internal and external communication, marketing programs and publications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies.
  • Understand principles of graphic design, layout, and printing
  • Familiarity and management of social media marketing and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business and review outlets (Yelp and Google Reviews)
  • Writes, edits, formats, publishes, and distributes emails and a monthly newsletter to the Membership.
  • Takes photos and videos when applicable or hires vendor(s) to provide photography and videography services.
  • Maintain archive of photos and history of Club

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Website Management

  • Act as a liaison between the Club and ClubEssential for updates, management, and refreshing.
  • of the website and app as needed.
  • Work with ClubEssential for other technology updates and/or advancements such as beacons, kiosks or mobile ordering, or any other features that help to enhance the member experience.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining all digital collateral, and verbiage on the website and app.
  • Work with Members and Staff by helping get logged into update personal information, booking tee times and dining and club reservations, and navigating the website and app as needed.

Branding

  • Create, implement, and maintain a cohesive brand for the Club, including brand mark, typography, graphics, photography, message, and identity, including core values to support consistency in communications

Membership

  • Writes, edits, formats, publishes, and distributes emails to new and potential members.
  • Provides support to the Membership Director to update print and digital membership collateral such as emails, membership packets, orientation packets, membership applications, emails, etc.
  • Works with Membership Director and General Manager on membership drives and encouraging members to reach members.

Administration

  • Create and maintain forms, reports applications, and other documents for membership and employees on software such as Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe Suite - Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Mac Computer
  • Creating flyers, signage

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to utilize Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Must have Mac Pro experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations and perform work requiring sustained concentration.
  • Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people and situations.
  • Understand and support the organization's goals, philosophy and mission, vision, and values.
  • Highly collaborative style; experience developing and implementing communications strategies.
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
  • Relationship builder
  • Sincere commitment to working collaboratively with all stakeholders, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
