Kitchen Night Floor Cleaner

DEPARTMENT: Clubhouse Maintenance                                      JOB TITLE: Kitchen Night Cleaner

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager                               

JOB TYPE: Hourly/Non-Exempt

BASIC FUNCTION: We are looking for a diligent and motivated Kitchen Night Floor Cleaner to focus on maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our kitchen floors during the overnight shift. The Kitchen Night Floor Cleaner will ensure that all floor surfaces are spotless, free of hazards, and compliant with sanitation regulations, preparing the kitchen for seamless daytime operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and Sanitize Floors: Sweep, mop, scrub, and sanitize kitchen floors, including hard-to-reach areas, using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment.
  • Remove Debris and Spills: Clear food particles, grease, and other debris from floors to prevent slips and maintain hygiene.
  • Operate Cleaning Equipment: Use floor scrubbers, pressure washers, or other cleaning tools safely and effectively, following manufacturer instructions.
  • Maintain Drains: Clean and clear floor drains to prevent clogs and ensure proper drainage.
  • Ensure Safety: Identify and address potential floor hazards, such as wet spots or uneven surfaces, and place warning signs as needed.
  • Follow Sanitation Standards: Adhere to food safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Report Maintenance Needs: Inform supervisors of any floor damage, equipment issues, or safety concerns.

 

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in floor cleaning, janitorial work, or kitchen maintenance is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and lift to [insert weight, e.g., 40 lbs].
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure floors are thoroughly cleaned and safe.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks within the shift.
  • Willingness to work alongside other night staff and follow supervisor’s directives.
  • Must be available for night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, floor types, and safety protocols is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic kitchen environment.
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be able to work 6 nights a week; Tuesday-Sunday 10PM-1AM
