General Construction & Maintenance Supervisor I

$5,955 per month

 

Note:  Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant’s, and other relevant factors.

 

Full-Time, Permanent civil service position.  The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the Building, General Shop and Automotive Maintenance unit in performing the construction, maintenance, alteration and repair of structures, buildings, roadways and parking areas, automobiles, heavy equipment, combustion engines, generators, light equipment, adjacent grounds and other related areas; and performs other related duties as assigned for Kalaupapa Settlement.

 

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements

 

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:  Eight (8) years of work experience in performing a variety of work in the construction and maintenance of buildings, structures or electrical or plumbing systems of which Four (4) years shall have been as a fully competent skilled worker AND including one (1) year of supervisory experience which included planning and scheduling the work of other fully competent workers, assigning and reviewing their work, providing training and evaluating their work performance; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

DRIVER’S LICENSE:  Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
