CASS Hawaii State Hospital (HSH) Special Assistant
Salary commensurate with training and experience
Â
Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment. This position is responsible for preparing HSH by increasing their resiliency to future pandemics and disasters by preventing, identifying, mitigating, managing and controlling current and emerging public health threats, concerns, deficiencies, and issues. This position is also responsible for identifying and managing public health priorities within HSH.Â

Minimum Qualifications
Â
EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Public Health, Health Administration, Business, Communications, Marketing, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field is required.
Â
A Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration and/or Law is preferred.
Â
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:Â Progressively responsible professional work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform administrative assignments in the following: program and procedure development, analysis, evaluation, and improvement; government financial management fundamentals, legislative process, and internal policy and development.
Â
Work experience managing large-scale projects or multi-unit organizations; experience using technology to achieve business results and experience in internal and public communication methods, protocols, policies, and procedures highly desirable.
