Job Description

Full-​time HR work in Windward Oahu! The Human Resource Administrator provides skilled administrative support to the Human Resource Director and is responsible for ensuring compliance with a wide variety of personnel policies and procedures, laws, board policies, and administrative rules.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

$16 to $21 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR department in implementing and administering programs to help improve and enhance the employee experience.
  • Maintain and process a variety of confidential and sensitive information, employment files and records, applicant tracking system, and compiling pertinent employee information. High standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information must be maintained at all times.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs incl. maintaining accurate record-keeping procedures including set-up and maintenance of employee records (compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, training and development.
  • Assist Human Resources Director with recruiting and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, collaborate with the hiring committee to understand skills and competencies required for each position.
  • Assist the Human Resources Director with benefits administration.
  • Assist the Human Resource Director in the collection, preparation and review of data for reports, proposals and other formal written communications; ensures that all reports and correspondence achieve a high level of quality.
  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, employment verifications as required.
  • Coordinate and track new hire on-boarding, off-boarding, orientation and HR surveys and training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Statistics, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience, highly preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification by Society of Human Resource Management and/or CP, SCP designations a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Office 365, Teams).
  • Preferred experience with: ERISA, ACA, FMLA, HFLL, HIPPA, COBRA, Workers Compensation, and EEOC.
  • Experience with an HRIS system (HR Symphony, ADP, Ceridian, Performance Pro) and ability to assist employees with basic system issues.
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening, writing, and speaking in small and large groups.
  • Two-Step Tuberculosis clearance is required.
