Hawaii State Hospital (HSH) Forensic Coordinator

Salary commensurate w/ training and experience

 

This position provides for coordination of forensic referrals & tracking of forensic patients through their HSH treatment episode.  Serves as liaison to Adult Mental Health Division (AMHD) Forensic Director & works collaboratively w/ HSH-assigned attorney to facilitate timeliness & effectiveness of forensic discharges.  Develops, implements & refines programs specific to the needs of forensic patients.  Serves as consultant to HSH treatment teams. 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:  A doctoral degree in clinical psychology preferably from a university with an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Two (2) year’s experience interacting with Quality Management and Utilization Management or Behavioral Health Managed Care with knowledge of community case management interventions.

 

LICENSE:  This position must be licensed in accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes, Chapter 465 – 7.6 (Session Laws of Hawaii, 1988).  Possession of a valid State of Hawaii Driver’s License, Type 3, preferred.
