Key Responsibilities:
- Good customer service skills. Must maintain friendly and professional attitude with all customers and potential customers.
- Knowledge of Oahu Streets
- Clean driving record (must present driving abstract)
- Able to drive standard or automatic transmission
- Able to transport cartons weighing up to 100 lbs
- Able to use/operate wagon, hand truck and electric pallet jack
- Complete vehicle maintenance report every two weeks
- Maintain condition and cleanliness of delivery vehicle
- Complete Driver Inspection Reports daily and submit to manager
- Perform deliveries according to schedule in a timely manner
- Verify total box count of deliveries; present billing invoice and collect payment, if necessary
- Must be able to work overtime
- Must comply with all Department of Transportation Regulations
- Must immediately report all accidents to manager & follow the proper procedures as set by manager.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager or Assistant Manager
You would be great for this role if you have these qualifications:
- CDL B permit holder with Air Brake endorsements.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to function with minimal supervision.
