Hawaii State Opioid Response Project Coordinator
$5,076 - $5,940 per month salary commensurate with training and experience

 

 

Exempt, temporary, full-time, non-civil service appointment. This position serves as a statewide coordinator responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and carrying out of day-to day operational activities including development of project strategies, services and reporting; procuring contractual services and budgeting to ensure funds are utilized in accordance with the State Opioid Response (SOR) and the State Targeted Response (STA) grants.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:  Graduation from a four (4) hear accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and major study in one of the behavioral sciences, social sciences, or related field is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Not less than one and one-half (1 ½) years of progressively responsible general experience in social work, public health or other related fields which required knowledge of current social and economic conditions, community organizations and the services and/or programs they offer to the community relative to alcohol and drugs, the prevention of opioid and other substance use and misuse and the treatment and rehabilitation or people who use substances.

 

Not less than one (1) year of specialized progressively responsible experience which demonstrated the ability to conduct studies and analyses of programs or projects through active participation in the planning, coordination, development, and/or evaluation of programs and/or programs’ activities relative to alcohol and drugs, the prevention of opioid and other substance use and misuse and the treatment and rehabilitation of people who use substances.

 

LICENSE:  Certification pursuant to Chapter 177.1 of Title 11, Hawaii Administrative Rules, relating to certification standards for substance abuse counselors and program administrators, is preferred.  Possession of a Hawaii motor vehicle operator’s license is preferred.
