Position: Teacher (at DreamHouse all teachers are called Instructional Leaders (IL)/Coach)

Responsibilities:
As a Teacher at DreamHouse, you will:
- Champion Equity and Access: Actively advocate for the educational needs of all students, regardless of their race, socioeconomic status, or zip code, ensuring equitable opportunities and outcomes for every learner.
- Differentiate Instruction: Effectively teach a diverse range of learners with varying abilities, employing differentiated instruction and personalized learning strategies to meet individual needs and promote growth for all.
- Implement Culturally Responsive and Innovative Pedagogy and Design Locally Grown Curriculum: Utilize and develop strong, research-based pedagogical practices that enhance content knowledge, center student culture, foster innovation, and promote deep understanding and critical thinking.
- Embrace Educational Innovation: Demonstrate a passion for exploring and implementing up-to-date and research-based teaching practices, continuously seeking innovative ways to engage and support student learning.

- Learning Environment: Support and maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that promotes focus, respect, and academic achievement.
- Data Accuracy & Management: Consistently maintain an up-to-date and accurate gradebook, ensuring timely input of assignments, feedback, and student progress. Record daily attendance with precision, and follow up on discrepancies as needed. Leverage data to inform instruction, communicate effectively with families, and support student success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a Hawai‘i Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Experience teaching in an innovative school setting and experience with project-based learning
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values outlined in this job description.
