Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Manager for the following job duties:
  1. Develop, oversee, and manage the company GFSI, Food Safety, Food Defense and quality programs with the intent to continuously improve processes, procedures and the company’s performance.
  2. Maintains and updates the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  3. Analyze quality control production test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff. Stop production if serious defects or food safety issues are present.
  4. Performs daily and monthly inspections as necessary and reports findings and recommendations for correction or improvement.
  5. Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analysis or quality trends.
  6. Document testing procedures, methodologies, and criteria.
  7. Review and update annually (minimum requirement) all SOPs and QA manuals.
  8. Study, implement and maintain local, state, and federal regulations of all food safety standards within the food industry.
  9. Maintain relationships with the various local, state, and federal inspectors and officers, specifically with the USDA and FDA.
  10. Responsible for all 3rd party audits and regulatory compliance.
  11. Works with cross functional teams to ensure company programs and policies are met.
  12. Oversees and reviews production and distribution sanitation processes and procedures.
  13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
You would be great for this role if you have these qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in related field; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. One to three years warehouse or distribution experience with preferably one year experience in quality assurance. Previous supervisory experience highly preferred.
