Our client is hiring an experienced Accounts Payable & General Ledger Assistant. In this role you will process vendor invoices, maintain accounts payable records, schedule and process payments, and handle general accounting duties. The ideal candidate will have two years of accounting experience and the ability to operate Mas90 and Sage100 accounting software.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm


Kapolei, Oahu


  • Process vendor invoices.
  • Maintain accounts payable records.
  • Schedule and process payments.
  • File, collate and process invoices.
  • Schedule check runs and mailings.
  • Enter invoices into accounting software.
  • Maintain vendor accounts and A/P on accounting software.
  • Generate reports as required by management.
  • Communicate with vendors on discrepancies and other matters.
  • Post to general ledger with proper consideration of account codes, cut-off dates, payment terms, etc.
  • Crossover assistance as directed to other accounting positions, especially to cover absences.
  • Handle accounting and recordkeeping duties for other client operations (i.e., custom events, wedding chapel, site weddings, etc.).
  • Assist in monthly general ledger preparation and monthly journal entries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Business school or work experience related to accounting.
  • Minimum two years of experience working in an accounting position.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.
  • Ability to operate Mas90 and Sage100 accounting software.
  • Experience with Great Plains Accounting Software helpful, but not necessary.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word).
  • Excellent accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, motivated, hardworking, dependable.
