Our client is looking to add a full-time Accounting Clerk to their team in Kihei! This role will handle a variety of account payable, accounts receivable, and admin duties so we're looking for candidates with at least 2 years of related experience.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm


Kihei, Maui


$16 to $22 an hour


Accounts Payable Processing

  • Review, verify, receive/match, and confirm account code and authorizations on purchase orders, vendor invoices, travel and per diem requests, purchase card documentation, and all other cash disbursement requests.
  • Accurately enter payment requests.

Accounts Receivable Processing

  • Process, open, and sort incoming accounts receivable payments and forward as applicable.
  • Batch payments received for deposit into proper bank accounts.
  • Communicate with staff and monitor past due accounts and follow-up on missing and/or incomplete documentation.

Payment Processing

  • Prepare check transmittals.
  • Create and maintain supplier/vendor list in financial management system including W-9s, determining tax classification, and confirming addresses as applicable.

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Maintain and report inventory control records.
  • Monitor and maintain the asset management system.
  • Tracks and follow-up with requesters, both internal and external, on missing and/or incomplete documents.
  • Maintain organized and accurate files.
  • Maintain petty cash account.
  • Annually review, prepare, and mail IRS Form 1099-Misc to vendors as required.


  • Must have 2-4 years of accounting admin experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, Teams.
  • Oracle Accounting Software preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required by company for this position. This is not an ALTRES Staffing requirement.
