Seeking a highly motiviated, enthusisastic maintenance person. This person must have at least basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and masonry experience.



Full - time, Friday - Tuesday, 09:00am - 5:00PM, hours may change



Kihei, Maui



Qualified canditates for this role should have at least 2 years experience working in an AOAO environment with experience in AOAO maintenance a plus.

  • Recognize, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair various systems, energy, cooling, plumbing, electrical, lighting, propane gas, repairing roofs, floors, doors, windows, carpeting, ceramic tile, concrete, HVAC, barbeques, pool equipment and various other inspections and repairs as requested.
  • Repair drywall, concrete spalling, and paint as necessary
  • Utilize basic math skills with a clear understanding of ratios,percentages, take measurements, make estimates of square footage, linear feet. 
  • Be able to determine quantities and quality of products or materials to be purchased or sent out to bid,etc.
  • Show aloha spirit by possessing a high level of diplomacy and tact in dealing with a variety of clientsand employees under stressfulsituations while working with team members in assigned projects and hotel related functions.
  • Read the English language sufficiently to ascertain information fromchemical warning labels, safety signs, equipment manuals and postedinstructions.
  • Help ensure Property’s House Rules are followed and enforced
  • Flexible schedule (available to work varied shifts, being on-call, weekends & holidays

  • Be available to work additional hours as needed.

  • All other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as deemed appropriate and assigned by management.


  • High school diploma or equivalent additional experience.
  • The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Demonstrable oral and written English communicationskills.
  •  Ability to communicate effectively withManagement.
  • Strong organizationskills.
  • 2 years or more in a hotel, condominium, hospital, or a comparablehospitality environment
  •  Ability to work well under deadline pressure.
  • Able to successfully prioritize multiple assignments, follow through andcomplete in a timelymanner.
  • Knowledge in one or more building trade skills, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, drywall and/or painting
