Job Description
Provides the Chief Executive Officer with support in the administration for the agency. Performs public relations duties and other special assignments for the Chief Executive Officer. Supervises assigned divisions within Kauai Economic Opportunity, Incorporated.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provides administrataive direction to the agency in the absence of the Chief Executive Officer
-Prepares annual update of Affirmative Action Plan on a calendar year basis.
-Prepaes press releases for the Agency and serforms Public Relations duties ad required.
- Is responsible for the development of computer implementaion with the KEO operations, and providing training and technical assistance to staff.
- Designs and implements special projects for the Chief Executive Officer.
- Is directly responsible for overall supervision of the following KEO divisions and Directors: Family Services, Children Services, Community Services, Senior Services, Homeless Services and other projects.
Reports to- Chief Executive Officer
Education and Experience:
- University or College degree in Business Administrtion or related field, with at least five yars of experience in a supervisory management position. Competency with computer systems implementaion required.
- Equivalent combination of eduction and experience in management, supervision personnel and computer technology can be substituted for college degree.
Related Skills:
Must have demonstrated administrtive capabilities, as well as excellent written, and oral communication skills. Must have typing skills, driver's license, and the ability to relate effectively to people of all social and economic strata.
Working conditions: Mostly indoors
Equipment use - Daily use of usual office equipment and supplies and use of calculator is required.Use of assigned vehicles.
Work hours: Monday-Friday 7:45 am - 4:30 pm. Can work woutside of the usual work hours.
Mental demands: Duties require attention to detail and use of judgement,
Physical demands: Duties required continuous standing and sitting for periods of time.
Communication demands: Duties require occasional communication both inside and outside the agency using considerable tact and discretion.
Qualification Regirements:
Education/Experiance: BA degree, or any comparable combination of education and experience which would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties of this position. Degrees relating to nutrition or food service preferred.

Basic Computer knowledge
