We are hiring for a qualified civilian Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our veterans and their families at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) must have the following qualifications:

 

• Education:  Be a graduate of an approved anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetist Education Program Schools or its predecessors

• Certifications: Certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Be certified every 2 years by the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetist

•  Have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) with hands-on training through an American Heart Association approved training program. Online certification is not accepted. Have and maintain current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and one of the following pediatric certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).  Online certification is not accepted. 

• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse anesthetist as required to practice as a registered nurse in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands

• Experience:  Possess a minimum three years of experience as a licensed, board certified CRNA with continuous experience during the last (12) months. Have experience in the delivery of and monitoring of all types of anesthesia utilized in the delivery of obstetrical and surgical anesthesia (general endotracheal, subarachnoid block and epidural, and IV regional techniques).  Have current experience (3 months or more in the past 12 months) providing epidural anesthesia (labor epidurals).
