Hawaii Academy of Arts and Science PCS seeks the following position for SY 2025-2026:

Assistant Business Manager

Summary
The Assistant Business Manager is responsible for assisting the Business Manager with all financial aspects of the school, managing the office and supervising employees.  The Assistant Business Manager works with assisting Administration in planning and analyzing financial documents including operating and program budget as well as organizing, coordinating, directing and performing a variety of administrative services and support functions.  Assists in overseeing Office Management, Fiscal Management and Recordkeeping / Reporting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll Processing, Administrative Support, Leave Accounting, Petty Cash Management, and Grant & Contract fiscal monitoring and reporting. The Assistant Business Manager supervises Finance Department positions.

Education, Experience and Qualifications
Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
Three years of experience in accounting and finance including cash management, budgeting and grant coordination.
Three years of supervisory experience.
Desirable qualifications include business management experience in a school; experience working with federal programs; and experience with Department of Education (DOE) financial systems and websites.
Valid driver license, satisfactory traffic abstract, daily access to a registered and insured vehicle
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Must be ethical and honest.  Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, follow-through, and oral and written communication skills. Must be extremely flexible and able to work independently. 

Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with technology and software programs, including QuickBooks, MS Excel and Word, Google Suite and other electronic communication systems and be able to acquire additional skills for use of software, databases or other information systems as necessary.

Must be able to meet professional obligations through effective work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others.  Must be able to successfully analyze information, manage complexity, report results, enter data, and observe school and state policies as well as state and federal laws with attention to detail, confidentiality, and thoroughness.  Must accept responsibility and be self-motivated.  Must maintain a high level of confidentiality with regard to employees, students and parents and work effectively with school staff, district personnel, vendors and the general public.
