Job Summary:
HOUSEMAN - Principal responsibilities include to clean all checkout and check-in rooms; sweep or scrub the lanai’s. Clean “general-clean” rooms and “no show” rooms. Carpet shampoo and upholstery cleaning as needed. Follow procedures as outlined in the Housekeeping Procedures Manuel.
LINEN RUNNER - Principal responsibilities include pick up and deliver all linen and guest supplies. Follow procedures as outlined in the Housekeeping Procedures Binder.
Essential Job Functions:
HOUSEMAN
1. Check-Out Rooms
a. Clean all windows, screens and tracks.
b. Clean all lanai furniture.
c. Sweep both lanais and scrub both lanais if needed.
d. Clean kitchen and both bathroom light covers.
e. Clean the kitchen mini-blinds.
f. Clean top of kitchen refrigerator and dryer.
g. Clean all closet mirrors and wall mirrors.
h. Clean ceiling fans and table fans.
i. Clean chandeliers.
j. Clean entrance glass window.
k. Spray tracks with WD-40.
l. Clean all spider webs from both lanais and outside entrance; clean the outside entrance on the end units.
m. Sweep footprints before leaving the unit if the Room Attendant already cleaned it.
n. Shampoo carpets on an as-needed basis
2. Check-In Rooms
a. Clean the same as a checkout room.
b. Ready units should be cleaned first.
3. No-Show Rooms
a. Check rooms for spots on carpets and walls.
b. Check the ceiling fans and table fans.
c. Check the mirrors and light covers.
d. Check the chandeliers.
e. Check for spider webs inside and outside of unit.
f. General Clean Rooms.
g. Shampoo / upholstery cleaning.
h. Shampoo carpet.
i. Clean beds and furniture.
j. Clean the same as Check-Out Rooms.
k. Assist the Unit cleaner; move the living room and bedroom furniture as necessary.
l. Rotate the bed mattress.
m. Clean the kitchen walls.
n. Clean loft windows and screens.
LINEN RUNNER
1. Deliver and pick up of all linen and supplies from the Housekeeping department and deliver to the individual units as required.
2. Deliver and pick up essential Housekeeping equipment to include, but not to be limited to: vacuum cleaner, cleaning utensils, rollaways, cribs, etc.
3. Assist in the laundry to sort and fold linen as directed by the Housekeeper.
4. Secure all dirty linen in laundry area.
5. Delivers items to guest rooms.
6. Pick up soiled linen, trash and extra supplies from individual units; dispose trash in the trash bins provided.
7. Other duties assigned by Executive Housekeeper.
