Landscaper I

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscaper I to join our Ranch Crew team. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor environment while developing your skills in landscape maintenance and ranch operations. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Shop Foreman/Equipment Master and contribute to maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our property.

Responsibilities

Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, line trimming, raking, and trash pickup throughout the property. Execute power washing and light painting tasks on buildings as needed. Assist the Landscaper II with irrigation system maintenance, fence repairs, and water line repairs. Support the Shop Foreman with shop maintenance duties and equipment servicing. Provide assistance to cleaning personnel with building maintenance tasks. Aid the Livestock Manager with fencing projects and cattle work as required. Participate in various ranch projects and repairs as assigned. Conduct basic equipment and machine fluid inspections to ensure proper operation. Maintain an organized and tidy work environment and keep equipment in good condition. Identify and report items requiring attention or basic improvements to management.

Requirements

Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions for extended periods. Demonstrated capability to operate lawn maintenance equipment and basic hand tools safely. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality of work. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact politely and courteously with boarders and clients. Responsive attitude toward management's goals and operational directives. Reliable transportation and punctuality. Willingness to assist with diverse tasks across multiple areas of ranch operations. Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team. Must maintain a suitable physical appearance while on-site. Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace and adherence to all ranch policies. English language proficiency for safety communications and following instructions.

This position offers a starting wage of $18.00 per hour with a compensation review within three months. Full-time employees are eligible for health care benefits, one week of paid vacation after one year of service, and one week of sick leave. This is a non-exempt position with a three-month probationary period.
