Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic agriculture and soil operations team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple companies within our organization, including trucking and soil operations divisions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a multi-tasking environment and possess strong financial acumen to manage various accounting functions across our business units.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts receivable for multiple company entities within our agriculture and trucking operations
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices to maintain healthy cash flow
- Apply payments accurately to customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Generate and distribute invoices for services rendered across trucking and soil operations
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records for all accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and post payroll journal entries in accordance with company policies
- Coordinate with operations teams to verify billing accuracy and resolve customer inquiries
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting requirements
- Process credit memos and adjustments as needed
- Maintain strong communication with customers regarding payment status and account issues

Requirements:

- Proven experience with Sage accounting software
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for financial management and reporting
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Strong ability to multitask effectively in a high-paced work environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience managing accounts for multiple companies or entities preferred
- Knowledge of trucking or agriculture industry accounting practices is a plus
